Their mission is to end youth homelessness. In 2022, they awarded over £2 million in grants to charities across the UK. With their core grants funding emergency bed spaces, move-on accommodation, and capital projects to renovate existing or create new safe, secure and affordable accommodation for young people experiencing homelessness. They also run a pro bono programme which matches the professional skills of their supporters with charities to help them save money and create greater impact in their communities.

By 2024, they plan to create 1,000 homes for young people and increase the value of their pro bono programme to over £1m per annum.

KiKa is the only charity in the Netherlands that funds research on all forms of childhood cancer. KiKa raises funds for innovative research and other activities in the field of childhood cancer, aimed at less pain, more cure and a better quality of life. Furthermore, KiKa focuses on education on childhood cancer.

Every year, almost 600 children in the Netherlands develop cancer. At this moment, 81% of these children are cured, but sadly, 1 in 5 still dies from the disease. Cancer is the number 1 cause of death by disease in children in the Netherlands. We have to do better, and we can do better. Their goal is to raise the percentage of cured children to 100%.

Our children are being let down – 1 in 4 young people who were referred to mental health services in the UK in 2019 didn’t receive the support they needed because some children just don’t fit specific criterial, are not yet clinically significant or are unable to articulate their needs to get the help that they deserve.

At present, early intervention is crucial; with stretched NHS services, long waiting times and a Government that is failing to invest in quality mental heath provision, children are forced to face feelings of desperation, isolation, anxiety and fear without support when they need it and that is not OK!

Ordinary Magic’s services are delivered by a highly qualified and professional team. Offering mental health and wellbeing support to children and families across Solihull and surrounding areas, they go beyond to offer family support in many forms. They aim to reach the children who are ‘unreachable’ and to ensure we offer early intervention at school or in a safe place, supporting those brilliant young minds and helping them on the road to a resilient future.

At Bátor Tábor, in the ‘camp of courage’ they change lives. Since 2001 Bátor Tábor is dedicated to provide life-changing experiences to seriously ill children and their families, and also to those families who have suffered the loss of a child. They bring laughter and joy to the hospital beds and through their online programs within the walls of the children’s home with the purpose to give strength and courage in difficult situations through play and fun.

As the therapeutic recreation center of the Central European region, they run programs in Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and in the Czech Republic. To international sessions in Hungary, they welcome campers from the 3 previously mentioned countries and volunteers from all around the globe.
